Jiangsu University Cranfield Tech Futures Graduate Institute (herein referred to as JSU-CU Institute) is a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution approved by the Ministry of Education, co-organized by Jiangsu University and Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, the location of the school: No. 301 Xuefu Road, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu University Headquarters.

Cranfield University is a world-class research university, founded in 1946 at the RAF's Cranfield base in Bedfordshire, its research funding from the British and EU business industries, ranked the first in the British research institutes, and its engineering discipline strength is at the forefront in Europe and the world; Six times winner of the Queen's Memorial Award; In the 2021 QS Subject Rankings, Management ranks 26^th in the world, Mechanical Engineering ranks 45^th in the world, Environmental Science ranks 201-250^th in the world, and Materials Science ranks 301-350^th in the world.

Jiangsu University (JSU) was founded in 1902 sharing the same root with Nanjing University, Southeast University, etc. It is a national comprehensive key university under the joint support and instruction of China’s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Jiangsu Provincial Government. China has more than 2600 registered and accredited higher education institutions. According to the latest ESI Ranking, JSU improved its ranking from 65 in 2016 to 45 among China’s Universities in 2022. In THE World University Ranking (2021), JSU is ranked 58 out of all universities in China. And in the QS Asian University Ranking (2021), JSU is ranked 48. Faculties at JSU offer 15 doctoral academic disciplines (fields of recognize expertise) encompassing 45 subjects (majors). We currently house 2 national key academic disciplines and 1 national academic key discipline (under construction). In addition to these JSU also offers qualifications in 10 advanced academic disciplines (fields of study) which are tutored on campuses at Jiangsu University and affiliated Colleges and 10 of these academic disciplines (fields of study) are ranked in the top 1%, globally, by ESI. They are Engineering, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Computer Science, Molecular Biology & Genetics, Environmental Ecology, Clinical Medicine, Biology & Biochemistry, and Pharmacology & Toxicology. Among them, Engineering and Chemistry are ranked in the top 1‰.

Jiangsu University and Cranfield University selected outstanding teachers to teach at JSU-CU Institute. CU sent 25 teachers to teach, including 9 professors, 1 academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering; All postgraduate students are equipped with JSU and CU supervisors. JSU-CU Institute has built smart classrooms to meet a variety of teaching scenarios, and built Canvas teaching system that is interoperable with the British side, relying on the first-class teaching and research facilities and laboratories of relevant schools to make adequate preparations for talent training. In addition, Cranfield Graduate School is mainly based on the British teaching model. The curriculum is set up as modules such as lectures, group discussions, individual/group presentations and personal assignments.
